1. I am the Project Manager of a medium size but complex construction project. Our project team seems to be constantly very frustrated and complain that they do too much …
“I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Michael Sypsomos for the many positive contributions to the Thai Education. We first met in 2003, when Michael taught Project Management to an executive group of the Thai Ministry of Education; at that time, he expressed his strong interest to help improve the Thai Education system, and we decided to initiate a pilot program for the Satun School system. Mr. Sypsomos coached the principals and teachers of the Satun school system in improving their curriculum and other areas, through the use of Project Management, which resulted in the school system achieving a high National Standard in Thailand by the end of 2004. Through subsequent training with other Thailand school principals, this successful model was applied to other schools, resulting in significant improvements to the quality of education of those schools as well. Mr. Sypsomos provided his services through the support of initially Unocal and subsequently Chevron and then his own company “The Mentor Group”. Later
on, in 2009 Mr. Sypsomos and his associates continued to provide additional training aimed to develop the teachers’ Coaching and Project Management skills, resulting in enhancement of the students’ analytical and critical thinking, decision making and structured thinking in general.
I am very appreciative to Mr. Sypsomos for offering a very unique set of skills and expertise that have helped individuals, companies and the Thai Education system, through a structured approach to implementing projects in a self-sufficient manner, which is an area that Thailand needs significant improvement, as an emerging Asian economic power.”
